PROGRAM PARTNERS

Membership in the Yellow Ribbon Coalition is limited to non-profit organizations that serve Veterans, military personnel and their families that have achieved prominence through their good works.

Our view is that we should all devote as much pride and determination in service to the community of Veterans, servicemen/women and families, as we would expect from them in our national defense.

EMERGENCY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE PARTNERS

USA TOGETHER USA Together - "It's like Craigslist for Wounded Warriors" - USA Together runs a web site that lists confirmed injured service members who have unmet needs as they are recovering. Visitors to the site can read their stories and offer to help directly with goods (like a refrigerator or baby crib) and services (like a ride to the VA hospital or help fixing up their house) as well as modest financial assistance, and also subscribe to get notified as new needs are posted—even just within a specific
community. The service is nationwide and free and is an effective way for individuals and community
groups to find and connect with those who need help.

USA Cares USA Cares - USA Cares Basic Needs program offers service members who need assistance with an unexpected car repair or higher than usual utility bill. It is not unusual for a National Guardsman or Reservist to take a significant loss of income when being called to active duty. Additionally, some return home from their tour and must face the daunting task of finding a new job and still have bills to pay. The program ensures that the basic needs of the family are met until they are able to provide for themselves. Funding from the program provides assistance in critical areas such as utilities, auto payments, insurance, auto repair and food.

Rebuild Hope Rebuild Hope - Tens of thousands of U.S. veterans of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan are now struggling with life-altering, service-connected injuries and psychological problems. And their adjustment to civilian life is made even more difficult when they must wait six months or more to receive merited disability income from the U.S. government. Through Rebuild Hope Americans help these veterans and their families overcome short term financial problems and build healthier and more stable lives. Rebuild Hope provides small monthly grants and no-interest loans, helps veterans develop realistic budgets, and offers complementary counseling and referral services.
Donors can view veteran profiles on the Rebuild Hope website and easily make donor-advised gifts,
knowing that 100% will be distributed to deserving families.

Our Forgotten Warriors Our Forgotten Warriors - The overall mission of OFW is to aid our warriors so that they may participate within their communities equally. We seek to bring about positive results in leadership by finding placement for qualified warriors in responsible and responsive leadership roles. We strive to promote positive public perception of our wounded warriors. These goals will be accomplished by an increased availability to personal assistance services, funding to retrofit houses to make them handicapped accessible and offering equal educational opportunities. Access to information, technology and transit services will also be offered.

Hire Heros USA The Mission Continues - The Mission Continues Fellowship Program ensures that post 9/11 wounded and disabled veterans have the opportunity to continue service to their nation by serving their communities. This program works in tandem with The Mission Continues Service Project Program which challenges veterans of all eras and civilians of all ages to serve their country by
serving their communities. Service projects provide a place for veterans to be citizen leaders

USA Cares USA Cares - USA Cares Jobs for Vets program has formed partnerships with public and private sector employers and associations can facilitate with some employment opportunities. Funding for this program is along several lines: Government funding through federal and state programs like Veterans Administration (VA) can fully underwrite those Veterans who have VA rated disabilities based on service-connected injuries. (However, the veteran may still be fully capable of performing tasks associated in fields such as electrical, carpentry and welding.) Assessments will be made to match the veteran with the right job. For those that do not have VA rated disabilities, USA Cares may provide some recommendations for employment opportunities and financial support. Additionally, Qualifying Jobs for Vets applicants (OIF/OEF Veterans and their families) may be eligible for financial assistance for employment
related needs. These include, but are not limited to items such as travel expenses to and from job interviews,
costs of special tools, uniforms and relocation expenses.
